Meet Jerome

Hey now,
I’m Jerome!

I have a PhD in clinical psychology and do traditional therapy at my Nashville practice.

But here’s what you really need to know about me: I love helping people become their best selves.

I live and breathe this work. And if you want to know my truth, it doesn’t even feel like work. Because there is nothing so beautiful to me as watching you evolve as you learn to own your truth and start really connecting with your community — everyone from your partner to the produce guy at Whole Foods.

And I know that if you’re ready to grow, if you’re ready to shed some of those heavy layers you’ve been hiding your bright, shiny self under, we are going be great together.

I cut through the muck—fast. We won’t waste any time in getting you where you want to be. But don’t worry: even though this work is challenging, we’ll have a whole lot of fun along the way.

I know how amazing you are. Really, I do. Over the past decade, I’ve helped thousands of people just like you — stressed out, burned out, bummed out — start to live the kind of lives they’ve only dreamed about. It still thrills me every time.

I can’t wait to share this intimate, powerful work with you.

Ready to get real?

•I was a personal trainer and fitness instructor for 20 years before I became a psychologist (but please: don’t ask to see the pictures from my step aerobics days).

•I received my M.A. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Mississippi and completed my Postdoctoral Residency at the Psychological and Counseling Center at Vanderbilt University.

•I work with everyone from Forbes-featured CEOs to wondering-what’s-next college grads.

•I believe in the redemptive power of good friends, good food and good conversation.

•Your “social capital portfolio” is where your real wealth lies.

•There is no such thing as a stranger to me.

•I’m crushed by the concept of exclusion.

•I believe in celebrating everything.

•I believe cool ain’t real, but real is cool—so yes, I eat bacon.

•I know how many calories are in a slice of cheesecake, but I don’t know how much money is in my checking account.

“Jerome’s ability to facilitate change in others is a rare talent. He has a unique style that allows him to engage his clients, translate their struggle, and feed it back to them in a manner that prompts more life-fulfilling change. He has not only continued to inspire me personally, but has also served as a necessary asset to the field of psychology.”
